House-shaped roof. Built for snow country. Your best choice for heavy winter climates.
The gable roof isn't just aesthetics — it sheds snow automatically. No clearing. No risk. While rounded greenhouses can accumulate dangerous snow loads, this house-shaped design lets snow slide off the sides the moment it lands. Polish-engineered galvanized steel frame, twin-wall polycarbonate panels, free US shipping.
Width: 8'10" (2.7m) | Roof: House-shaped (gable) — the only greenhouse roof design that handles heavy snow without maintenance.
They offer one spec. We offer your spec.
Most competitors sell one panel thickness at one price. We give you the choice: a budget-smart 4mm entry, the same 6mm spec the market leaders use at a lower price, and a Heavy Duty frame spacing no competitor offers.

WHY HOUSE-SHAPED FOR SNOW COUNTRY?
| Rounded arch greenhouse | Snow-Proof house-shaped |
|---|---|
| Snow sits and accumulates on curved roof | Gable angle sheds snow automatically — slides off instantly |
| Requires regular manual clearing in heavy snow | No clearing needed, even in heavy snowfall |
| Risk of collapse under extreme loads | Structural ridge transfers load to walls — inherently stronger |
| Condensation collects at crown | Ridge venting eliminates condensation buildup |
FRAME SPACING — WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
| Standard (39" apart) | Heavy Duty (26" apart) |
|---|---|
| Best for most US climates | Best for extreme snow regions — Alaska, Minnesota, Vermont, Montana |
| More open interior feel | Maximum structural reinforcement |
| Faster assembly | More crossbars = more anchor points for accessories |
| Recommended for zones 6–10 | Recommended for zones 3–6 with heavy annual snowfall |
PANEL THICKNESS — 4MM VS 6MM
| 4mm Twin-Wall Polycarbonate | 6mm Twin-Wall Polycarbonate |
|---|---|
| Good insulation — extends season 4–6 weeks each end | 30% better insulation — extends season further |
| Light transmission: 82% | Light transmission: 80% |
| Best for mild to moderate climates | Best for cold climates and year-round heating |
| Lower price point | Longer lifespan in harsh conditions |
ASSEMBLY — WHAT TO EXPECT
Step 1 — Choose your size and order. Select length, frame spacing, and panel thickness. Free freight to your door in 12–16 business days.
Step 2 — Unbox and build. All components arrive pre-labeled. Full illustrated assembly manual included. Most customers complete the 13ft version in one day with two people. No specialist tools required.
Step 3 — Grow through every season. The house-shaped roof means you don't lose growing days to snow clearing. It just works.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why is the gable roof better for snow?
The angled roof creates a natural slide — snow hits the slope and moves off under gravity, the same principle as a traditional house roof. Rounded arch greenhouses trap snow at the crown where the curve flattens, creating dangerous accumulation. In heavy snow climates, this is the single most important structural difference.
What is the frame made from?
Hot-dip galvanized steel — permanently bonded zinc coating that protects against rust for 15+ years. Not painted steel. Not coated steel. Hot-dip galvanized, the same process used in industrial outdoor infrastructure.
Can I heat it in winter?
Yes. The twin-wall panels provide good insulation. A small 1,500W electric heater with a thermostat maintains growing temperatures through most US winters. The narrower 8'10" width means less volume to heat — lower heating costs than wider greenhouse models.
How long do panels last?
10+ years. UV-stabilized to resist yellowing. The galvanized frame typically outlasts the first set of panels.
Can I anchor it to a concrete pad?
Yes — base frame includes anchor points for concrete, paving, or deck. Strongly recommended for wind-prone and snow-prone areas.
